The Dark Tower

(Spoilers ahead!)

I was about 16 or 17 when I picked up the first Dark Tower book. I was already a fan of Stephen King  Now I’ve read all the books and it’s been a couple of years since the last, so there are a lot of thing I have forgotten about the series. Despite that it is still very special to me.

Alternative sea

I watched The Ghost Writer years ago. It is a slow-paced, moody political thriller, directed by Roman Polanski, starring Ewan McGregor and Pierce Brosnan. To be honest, I didn’t care much for the plot. I hardly remember it. I was however impressed with the atmosphere it creates. And with the fact that it made me really want to go to the seaside during winter.

Oh, the places you’ll go!

I didn’t grow upIMG_10541 in an English speaking household. When I first heard the name Dr. Seuss, I was already an adult (legally I mean, mentally is an entirely different question). That’s why I don’t have any nostalgic feelings – or any feelings at all for that matter – about the children’s writer and his books. I just wasn’t interested in anything he had to say. That is until a couple of years ago when I watched the movie Fracture.
